Radison Fort McDowell Spa

The Spa offers a number of rejuvenative and relaxing procedures such as constitutional hydrotherapy, Swedish massage, facials and hair & nail salon services.

Constitutional Hydrotherapy uses an alternating application of hot and cold water to increase circulation and bolster the immune system. This form of healing has been used over one hundred years by naturopathic physicians and other traditional healers.

The Swedish Massage uses long, gliding, light pressure strokes to improve circulation, assist the lymphatic system and increase muscle tone and relaxation.

A Golfer’s fitness massage is also available that concentrates on the muscles used when playing golf. It is recommended after a round of golf to aid in recovery or just to help add to the enjoyment of your vacation.

The Fort Relaxation Facial includes a thorough but gentle cleansing and toning of the skin followed by a relaxing face, neck and shoulder massage.

Hair and Nail Salon services include shampoo set or style, haircut and style, gentleman’s haircut, and special occasion up-do.

Outdoor Pool Oasis

The outdoor desert pool oasis will be appreciated by all family members. The large outdoor heated pool features a kid’s area and two whirlpools set amongst a scenic desert backdrop. Plenty of lounge chairs are available around the pool and are perfect for relaxing in the sun. Enjoy the picturesque water-fall area as you spend the day pool-side.

Non-hotel & Spa Service guests may use the fitness equipment & pool areas at the Fort McDowell Resort and Casino for a per-day service fee. The pool area is open from sunrise to sunset daily and is not attended by a lifeguard. The pool may close due to inclement weather or unforeseen conditions at the Fort’s discretion.

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

We-Ko-Pa has two stunning 18-hole world-class golf courses that will amaze and delight the most experienced and travelled golfer. The Cholla Course was opened in December 2001 and the Saguaro Course was opened on December 16, 2006. Each course has won numerous awards including placement in ten best new courses by Golf Magazine and Sports Illustrated. The near-perfect fairways and greens make a striking contrast to the rugged Sonoran Desert terrain surrounding each hole.

We-Ko-Pa has a full practice facility that includes practice balls, a large area for short game work, fairway and greenside practice bunkers as well as a large putting green. There is a $15 fee for the use of the practice facility.

The We-Ko-Pa clubhouse is an incredible piece of architecture done in the “desert vernacular” style that draws inspiration from the surrounding desert landscape. Spectacular views of the McDowell Mountains, Red Mountain, Four Peaks and the Superstitions are offered at various locations in and around the clubhouse. A full pro shop and a restaurant can fulfill any needs a golfer might have during his or her day at the links, and a large, open patio area is a great place to enjoy a drink and some food and to discuss the great day that was had at We-Ko-Pa.

Fort McDowell Adventures offers a number of different venues for group activities and entertainment options. Trail rides, Native American storytellers & dancers, hiking & biking tours, and many more activities are offered depending on the time of the year.

Nearby Fountain Hills has numerous entertainment and dining options (take a good look at the Dining Guide in FountainHillsGuide.com!) Old Town Scottsdale is a beautiful 30-minute drive away. Payson and the Zane Grey’s fabled Mogollon Rim country is a little more than an hour up the Beeline (another spectacular drive!) Dozens of Hiking and Mountain Biking trails are nearby. Saguaro Lake is a short distance away (yes – another spectacular drive!)

Many residents of Fountain Hills have lived here for years and not taken advantage of all the activities available, so there is plenty to do unless the only activity you find fun is surfing!
