A Celebration of Art and Unity
in Fountain Hills As the cool days of fall arrive in the Sonoran Desert each year, so too, does the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts. Hosted by the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, the event is considered to be one of the finest art festivals in the country. Each year the event is widely successful and this year was no exception.
The Festival attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year, drawn to the Hills for not only the 500 artists and artisans that line the Avenue of the Fountains, but for the food, entertainment, and crisp, clean air of Fountain Hills. The majority of the those who attend the Festival are valley residents while others are winter visitors and vacationers escaping the cold weather of the northern states. Rated as one of the top 100 art fairs in the United States, the juried Festival is also popular among artists. We decided to find out the answer to that question. We spent a day getting to know some of the many artists and visitors who traveled to Fountain Hills on Saturday, the second day of the event. Our goal was to hear both sides of the story. Here is what they had to say. Visitor's Perspective
