New Middle School Breaks Ground

The Fountain Hills Unified School District recently broke ground on the future Fountain Hills Middle School. The facility will be located on an area of state trust land in north Fountain Hills along Fountain Hills Boulevard.

Currently, the Middle School is housed within buildings at the west end of the Fountain Hills High School campus at the corner of Palisades and Golden Eagle Boulevards. The student enrollment in the school is over 600 students with each grade level taught by four teachers. The school, which serves grades six through eight, is expected to relocate to the new location and welcome students for the fall 2002 school year.

Earth moving equipment sits on the property of the future middle school.
