HAPPY NEW YEAR! Construction of the site began in August of 2001 and took two months to complete. On October 8, we officially announced the release of the new site. Since that time, we have added more than 100 new content pages bringing the total number of site pages to 491. We also have added more than 50 photographs bringing this number to 476. We've received numerous comments and suggestions from site visitors which we consider very valuable. In November, we signed a contract with Arizona Trails Reservation Service to add secured credit card reservations for area hotels and bed and breakfasts from our Accommodations pages. In early December we received our listing on Yahoo! Since that time, we have generated several hundred visits directly from queries originating from Yahoo! Other search engines continue to add our site to their databases. In mid December, we added a Reader Poll, Chat Room, Message Board, and Guest Book to the People page. This section of the site will continue to see updates with new features we have planned for 2002. A Look Ahead We have also been working hard on the new Macromedia Flash Community Tour 1.0. This feature is near completion and the first version will be pushed live to our site this month. You can also count on our Home page feature stories to continue to change. We will publish unique and creative stories covering community events as they occur. When no particular event is scheduled, we have established a list of interesting feature stories related to Fountain Hills and the surrounding area that we will publish. To keep you up to date on local events, we will also be continually updating our events calendar.
