Fountain Hills Enjoys Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thanksgiving was a big day in Fountain Hills. With the Parada de los Cerros and the Fountain Hills Turkey Trot, residents had plenty to do before they enjoyed their holiday feasts.

The 18th annual Parada de los Cerros, an event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, featured 65 parade entries and was enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors.

This year's theme was "International Holidays" with an added touch of patriotism. The Grand Marshal of the parade was the Statue of Liberty.

The parade route began at the intersection of El Lago and Saguaro Boulevards making its way to Palisades. At Palisades the route turned west and proceeded to La Montana where it made a left turn and ended at Parkview.

The Statue of Liberty was this year's Grand Marshal.

Some of the 65 entries included Mayor Sharon Morgan, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, The Gold Wing Riders, Girl Scouts of Fountain Hills, Fountain Hills Rural/Metro Fire Department, Santa Claus, Desert Dog Hummer Adventures, and much more.
