The Fountain Green

Spectators enjoy the sights and sounds of the annual St. Patrick's celebration at Fountain Park. This year's celebration featured Irish music, stage dancing, arts and crafts, and children's activities. Events began at 11:00 on Sunday with a stage performance by McElligott Irish Dance Company. The group featured about 30 dancers performing for approximately 30 minutes.

At noon musical numbers were performed by the Spirit of Scotland Pipe Band with a backdrop of the world famous fountain spouting into the air in a deep shade of green. Families and friends crowded around the stage on blankets and in chairs to enjoy the performance and sunny afternoon.

All the while, children crowded around Irish-themed craft booths and inflatable rides, to create their masterpieces and bounce around in the sun.

Plaza Fountainside was all a bustle with patrons enjoying outdoor patio dining areas, fine art, ice cream and gourmet coffee from local establishments.
