A road less traveled.

Ok, so you ask, what gives? What's so special about this photo that grants it the right to be Photo of the Month?

This shot is an interesting perspective of a road that every one of us here in Fountain Hills more than likely glances at every day. It can be seen from just about anywhere in town. Drive west on Palisades Boulevard and look up at the McDowell Mountains and there it is. Cut into the steep slopes of several majestic peaks is a jeep road that will one day be transformed into a more natural hiking trail.

This particular photo (above) demonstrates the vantage point a Mountain Lion could have as she spies on a lone hiker and two unleashed dogs. Be careful out there fellow hikers. They are among us!
