The world famous fountain is illuminated after dark.

Many who visit Fountain Hills to catch a glimpse of the world famous fountain during daylight hours are not aware that after dark the display is illuminated. The glow of the fountain against the dark desert sky creates a spectacular photo opportunity. The display also makes for a unique patio dining experience at local restaurants adjacent to Fountain Park.

This shot, photographed by Fountain Hills resident, Michael Frazone, showcases the fountain in all its glory as the sun sets in the western sky. The dramatic sky, community lights, and soft glow of the fountain convinced us that this photo deserved our selection as November Photo of the Month.
