The bold and the beautiful.

The reddish bloom of the Barrel Cactus is a short lived, but delightful explosion of color. These beauties arrived and disappeared within two days. A few days later, the third bud bloomed. Javelina and other desert scavengers dine on the Barrel Cactus fruit.
