Mogollon Rim Hikes:
Blue Ridge Reservoir

Coconino National Forest

Trails in this area pass through thick groves of Ponderosa Pine where viewing wildlife is a likely possibility. Some trails traverse spring fed streams and pass by historic cabins. Such trails as the Arizona Trail, Barbershop Trail, and the Fred Haught Trail all lead hikers into the depths of the forest.

There is a nice short hike that begins on the ridge above Blue Ridge Reservoir on FR 751. The trail is located just before the road drops down to the lake. It ends at an unpopulated, quiet peninsula on the lake that is a great place to take a swim. The trail is about a mile long and can be steep at times.
