Regional Parks:
Scottsdale Park System and Bike Trail

The Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department maintains the Scottsdale Bike Trail. The paved trail begins just north of Shea Boulevard and ends down in Tempe. Along the way there are shady, green grass parks, man-made lakes and ponds, and other facilities. There are also several places to stop and have lunch whether it be one brought along, or patio dining at a restaurant. There are only a few spots on the trail that require a street crossing, otherwise the path is unobstructed with tunnels that pass below busy streets. The trail is popular among bicyclists, in-line skaters, skateboarders, joggers, and walkers.

The best place to pick up the trail is by parking at the Scottsdale Mustang Public Library which is on 91st Street south of Scottsdale Hospital. Just east of the library is access to the trail. The majority of the trail travels through or along Indian Bend Wash, a flood control system that is kept green.

A map is available for review by visiting the Scottsdale Park and Recreation Department web site.
