Bartlett Lake is the result of Bartlett Dam along the
Verde River. The Bartlett Lake Recreation Area is located about 22 miles
east of Cave Creek and Carefree. The road is paved all the way to this
lake making it a relatively easy lake to get to. There is a shady campground
as well as numerous beaches.

To Get There:
From Fountain Hills drive north on Fountain Hills Bouldevard which turns
into McDowell Mountain Road. Follow McDowell Mountain Road to Forest
Drive in Rio Verde. Turn left and drive to Rio Verde Drive. Turn left
and follow Rio Verde Drive to Pima Road. Turn right and drive to Cave
Creek Road. Turn right to Horseshoe Dam Road (FR 205). Turn right and
follow the road to Bartlett Lake.
