Tonto Creek
Tonto National Forest

The road from Highway 260, parallels Tonto Creek all the way to the end of the road at Tonto Fish Hatchery. Along the way there are camp and pull-out parking areas that have direct access to this stream.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department managed facility supplies fish to the surrounding waterways. A number of successive ponds hold thousands of fish at various developmental stages. The hatchery offers an introduction to the Forest Service's process of restocking Arizona's lakes and rivers.

Below the hatchery on Tonto Creek , sport fishing for Rainbow, Brown, and Brook Trout is a popular activity.
