With its stunning mountain vistas, clear blue skies and plentiful parks and natural areas Fountain Hills is a great place to have a relaxing picnic.
Of course, the local's favorite place to picnic is probably Fountain Park. Not only are there shaded picnic Ramadas with picnic tables available, there are acres of grass and shade trees. Watch others partake in activities at the park, enjoy the mountain views and of course have your camera ready for the hourly Fountain display! After your picnic enjoy some smooth gelato ice cream at La Scala Creamery at the shops on the west side of the lake.

A few shaded picnic ramadas are located around the soccer fields at Desert Vista Park. There is also plenty of grass to picnic on. A day use fee is required to get into the park, but it is well worth the minimal charge of $6.00. The park is located on McDowell Mountain Road. Follow Fountain Hills Boulevard north to McDowell Mountain Road.
