With the growing population of Fountain Hills, the Fountain Hills Unified School District has its work cut out for it. Student enrollment has seen a steady increase each year. With the expansion of the system and growth rate of enrollment, the school district is the largest employer in Fountain Hills. The district offers education to preschool through 12th grade.

Superintendent
Maria Menconi (Through July, 2002)

In July, 2002, Maria Menconi, a nine year district employee, will move on to a top position in the Kyrene School District. Dr. Marian Hermie, a district employee since 2000, has been selected to filling the seat of Superintendent.

Cathy Campin replaced Terry Tatterfield who resigned from the position on July 1, 2002.
