New Middle School Now Open


New Fountain Hills Middle School welcomes students.

With the 2002/2003 school year upon us, Fountain Hills School District, parents, and students have much to be excited about. For years, high school and middle school students shared the same campus at the corner of Palisades and Golden Eagle Boulevards. This year marks the completion and opening of the new Fountain Hills Middle School. The facility, located at the North end of the community along McDowell Mountain Road, will welcome students August 9 to meet teachers. The official first day will be August 12. School enrollment has seen a steady increase over the past several years, averaging around a 3% gain each year. The 2001 - 2002 school year saw a student enrollment of nearly 2500 students. The Fountain Hills Unified School District serves preschool through 12th grades. Other local facilities also offer quality education and care programs. Local services are available for infant care, toddler programs, and preschool. Several facilities offer Montessori education, and Christian education. There is also a strong local home-schooling network.
