Fountain Hills - A Great Place to Visit!

Overview

Fountain Hills is known for its upscale small-town charm, natural beauty, perfect weather most of the year, and of course its fountain! But that is just the start of the list of reasons why Fountain Hills is a great place to visit!

A Variety of Options for All kinds of visitors!

For those who like social and cultural activities we have the Fountain Hills Community Theatre, the River of Time Museum, Public art walks, a multitude of events such as The Great Fair, Festivals of Arts and Crafts, Ballet in the Park and much more. If that isn’t enough, Fountain Hills borders Scottsdale with its huge selection of activities ranging from fine restaurants, to world-class art galleries, to an exciting night life.

If nature is more your style, Fountain Hills borders the McDowell Mountain Preserve and Sonoran Desert Preserve with a total of over 100 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails combined! A number of lakes and a few rivers provide boating and fishing opportunities within a short driving distance. Beautiful Mountains and the Sonoran Desert surround Fountain Hills. In the summer the cool pine-scented Mogollon Rim country is a little over an hours drive away with millions of acres of camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.

If you like to combine socializing with nature, Fountain Hills has a number of world-class golf clubs and courses awaiting your tee-off! The Fountain Park features a disc-golf course and the parks around town have soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and more. Fountain Hills has an excellent dog park and even a skate park!

Great weather!

Fountain Hills has Phoenix weather, only better! Fountain Hills sits at a higher elevation than Phoenix and is bordered by the McDowell Mountains. It is also less developed than Phoenix (think less heat-holding concrete and more desert). These factors combine to offer cooler temperatures than the Phoenix ‘Valley of the Sun’. Is that long winter getting you down in March? The average March day here is 75 and sunny! Sick of hiding indoors midwinter? Bring a light jacket and your golf clubs and visit Fountain Hills! Even the three hottest months of June, July and August have comfortable early mornings and reasonable evenings.

Friendly people

Combine a laid-back casual lifestyle with a comfortable climate and you won’t be surprised to find friendly, happy people here! Fountain Hills is often considered more laid-back than its neighbor Scottsdale.

So come up for a day or visit for a week and check it out all that Fountain Hills has to offer you!
